Where Are They Now!
Superstar Mal Sanders is still very much active and wrestling, making appearances throughout the UK. Sanders started his career in the ring at a time when the likes of Mick McManus and Jackie Pallo were still very much the top men, and he's still going strong many years later.....Skull Murphy is another than keeps on wrestling, and there are few who'd suggest to him that he should stop! Skull is by far one of the hardest men British wrestling has ever produced and I dare say this guy will keep getting into the ring until the day he simply can't draw a breath, such is his live for the sport!......Kid McCoy was one of the most popular lightweights ever to enter the ring. From the time he made his debut through to the end of his career, which was all too short, McCoy was a firm fan favorite. Sadly McCoy chose a business career over wrestling and effectively retired from the ring in the mid 90's. He now runs his business interests in his loved Yorkshire...Richie Brooks was another firm fan favorite after making his debut in the mid 90's. Although Richie retired a few years ago he still slips on his boots for the odd charity event.....The tag team pairing of Doc Dean & Robbie Brookside were all winning in the late 80's and early 90's under the banner "The Liverpool Lads"......Doc moved to the States in the mid 90's and continued wrestling for a few years. But he slipped into retirement a few years ago. Robbie still enteres the ring from time to time although he's now carrying a few injuries that restrict the amount of events he's able to take on.....
Loved Skull Murphy! As that photo proves, he had the most amazing traps!
