All Star Wrestling

Some wrestling action from All Star Wrestling's various events. All Star, headed by Brian Dixon are now in their 41st year and still going strong. Others have come and gone but All Star continue to roll along. In my own wrestling days it was a pleasure to work under their banner and I can truly count Brian Dixon as a long time friend and not simply a wrestling promoter. Although he can sometimes give the impression of a gruff exterior, Tricky as he's known throughout the wrestling world, has a soft interior. He's helped many a struggling wrestler over the years....with extra work, a place to stay, providing them with transport, and various other things. Whereas Max Crabtree at Joint promotions was always aloof from the wrestlers, Brian has always been very approachable. In their own way they both helped wrestling to grow and flourish in the UK. Both had differing styles. But not even max Crabtree could keep Joint Promotions rolling along for as many years as Brian has done with All Star. Let's hope he does not decide to hang up his calculator too soon as it'll be a sad day for UK wrestling when the only old style promoter left calls it a day!

  1. Your strength training for wrestling program should include a few components. A strength training for wrestling plan should always include lower body strength training to help wrestlers in many different situations on the mat including getting off the bottom, sprawling, and finishing leg attacks.

  2. Who are the two wrestlers on the right in the second to the last row...the one where the sexy spike-haired blond in the sparkly blue trunks with stars is working over his kneeling, handsome victim? I would love to find some more pics or vids of them online!
